This blog was started by me, John Tibby, a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Change at The University of Adelaide. I am hoping that in time some of my other Adelaide colleagues will contribute too.

I study environmental change, mostly using the past to understand important questions that can’t be answered with other information .  These include: “How did climate vary in the past?”, “How have environments been changed since European settlement?”,  “What is the frequency and duration of natural droughts and floods?’ and “What was the impact of indigneous peoples on Australia’s environnmental?”
